Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the effectiveness of a brain-based method for young learners acquiring a second language.

The research design implements a methodology that is pre-experimental and gives insight for more rigorous testing in the future. The data was collected through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research through class observation. The basic method of investigation was through a collection and analysis of five activities in the classroom.

The results of the research indicate that young learners generally showed a positive feedback toward memory recall of words and images. It is recommended that the proposed method be tested on different levels of young learners so that it can be possible to gain the full potential and effectiveness of the brain-based method
