Conduct Assessments and produce reports on oral proficiency and writing skills for general and academic training; monitor exams for receptive and productive skills; travel to examining sites in North and Central China to conduct  assessments; attend periodic meetings to be updated on administrative procedures, changes in examinations and future planning.

I taught English for specific purposes, at a government run tertiary institution, to graduate students. Courses were business related and were geared toward students careers in an international business environment.
TOEIC, TOEFL and BEC were integrated into the curriculum with each of the four skills taken as a separate course.

Taught young learners in an English immersion program; develop their skills in listening, reading readiness, math readiness, writing readiness, phonics, social readiness, and fine arts; focused on whole language and Total Physical Response; evaluated  authentic assessments such as portfolios and class observations; communicated with parents constantly on student's progress.

Taught English to adolescents and adults from basic to advanced levels; used a Communicative Language approach through a wide variety of classroom activities.

For 13 years, I worked in the retail industry. I managed staff and participated in major business decisions. This long transitional period have helpled me to focus on what I really want to do.
 
PROJECTS
 
- Committee for Oral Skils in Test for English Proficiency
- Participated in an international project to teach EFL to professionals abroad through distance.
- Piloted testing and edited exit level tests for LINC  Online programs.
- Did a feasability study on custom designing courses for clients in IT industry.
- Coordinating with Workmens Compensation Board, service providers and Human Resources departments to place clients in their field of expertise.
 
RESEARCH INTEREST
 
Action Research through portfolio developmnet in the form of a living educational theory
 
SECOND LANGUAGE
 
My second language is Chinese: First learned formally and then informally in a non-English speaking environment.
